FAQ
Am I a good candidate for plastic surgery ?
If you are in good health and there is a particular concern about
your body which bothers you time and again, you should consult a plastic
surgeon and consider a self confidence boosting procedure.
What are the risks of plastic surgery?
As any surgical procedure: infection, bleeding, healing problems can happen (very seldom fortunately) but the greatest risk is that the procedure does not yield the result that you are expecting. It is very important that you ask the questions and get the right answers, let the surgeon know what YOU EXPECT and what you do NOT want.
How should I prepare for the operation?
Usually you will receive full instructions for the before and after period (each doctor has his own procedures and all the ways lead to Rome). You have to read and follow the instructions carefully and call the practice if you have any questions.
Are there any warranties on the outcome of the operation?
None as such, as it is impossible to predict complications and tissue reactions even for the most experienced surgeons. You have to explain your surgeon the features that you want corrected and the expectations you have. Communication is paramount and anything left untold can lead to less than satisfactory results. Feel free to express your deepest concerns
to your surgeon: he is about to change your life!
Will it be painful doctor?
Each patient will react differently and has a different pain threshold. During your consultation, you will be given an indication as to how the majority of patients react.
Your particular experience will probably be better than you will be warned.
When can I return to normal activities ?
Mostly you will resume light activities after one or two weeks.
Intense sport and training can be done after 4 weeks. Healing will
take around 1 year to complete and the scars should be protected form sun
exposure for at least 6 month.
